Welcome to Peel Medical Centre

Peel Medical Centre is situated in the heart of Peel, serving the community in the West of the island. We have a number of male and female partners, as well as salaried GPs, training doctors, nurses and Healthcare Assistants to provide a wide range of care for you. This website is designed to give you easy access to that care

With patients' needs at the heart of everything we do, our website has been designed to make it easy for you to gain instant access to the information you need. As well as specific practice details such as opening hours and how to register, you’ll find a wealth of useful pages covering a wide range of health issues along with links to other relevant medical organisations.

Get Well, Keep Well

Of course we’re not just here for when you are unwell. Our team of healthcare professionals and back-up staff offer a number of clinics and services to promote good health and wellbeing whatever your medical condition.

Join In

We hope you enjoy having a look around the site and familiarising yourself with some of the online features such as ordering a repeat prescription. Whatever your thoughts, be sure to let us know via our feedback function. Comments and suggestions are always a great way of helping us continue to enhance the way we look after you.

Access to Peel Medical Centre

There are two disabled car parking spaces near the building. If you require assistance, there is an intercom button on the outside wall that will notify reception that you need help. The automatic front doors will operate in working hours and the second internal door can stay open while you go through. If you do not have an obvious disability, please advise the receptionist if any help is required. A Hearing Aid Loop System is fitted in the waiting room. There is a disabled toilet by the front entrance.

Training Practice

We are a Training Practice, which means that both fully qualified doctors who are training to become GPs, and Medical Students training to be doctors will occasionally be present at, or in charge of your consultation. You will always be given the chance to opt out of being seen by a trainee. Training is, however, a very important part of our work, and all trainees will be fully supervised by one of the doctors.

Occasionally, as a part of their work, trainees may ask you if you are willing to have the consultation videoed or observed by one of the partners. You are free to refuse this, and indeed we will only video or observe you if you expressly give us your consent. All videos are destroyed once the trainee and trainer have viewed them.

Prescriptions

We have made a slight change to our prescription form. The form is very similar to the existing form and self explanatory but you will need to delete any bookmarks you have to the existing form as it will no longer be available. Any details you have saved will however be lost.
